Experience

2007-Present, Freelance Graphic Designer/Production Artist, World Market

Fast-paced, attention to detail design and production for consumable and housewares private label packaging and in-store programs. Notably lead designer responsible for evolving the design aesthetic for kitchen packaging. This design also features line illustrations showing features and benefits of the products for customer knowledge and an effective tool for store field operations. Initial launch was in Fall 2009, which impacted over 200 skus and expanded in 2010 to include the tabletop area (3 departments). Also concept execution and creating/publishing style guides for all seasonal programs including Easter, Fall, Halloween and Holiday.

2006, Freelance Graphic Designer, Jupiter Group

Produced quick turn-around private label packaging for Wal-Mart, Target and K-Mart. Team-player in a creative environment. Final files out to client either domestic or Asia.

2004–2006, Art Director, Corporate Marketing, Wal-Mart Stores, Incorporated

Design and manage Wal-Mart Financial Services alcove stores including all interior signing and collateral brochures and mailers. Collaborated with partner General Electric Financial on promotional Wal-Mart Credit Card, Debit Card and Shopping Cards. Creative lead for Wal-Mart circular sales paper Electronics section involving layout design, photo shoot of product and final out to printers.

1998–2003, Art Director, Brand Marketing, Wal-Mart Stores, Incorporated

Art Director for package creation for Electronics, Toys, Hardware, Automotive, Pets, Apparel and various other departments. In charge of full scope of creative process, initial stage design of logos to full-blown brand identities including very popular private label packaging Kid Connection and EverActive batteries. Traveled to Asia to drive the creative through to production to meet client shipping deadlines.

1996–1997, Graphic Designer, Signing, Wal-Mart Stores, Incorporated

Creator of all in-store signing for Electronics, Hardware and Automotive. Design of Automotive point-of-purchase display signing and monthly promotions as well as Electronics department identity signing.
